Piracicaba, 15 - Tomato transplanting of the second half of winter season finishes this month in the South of Minas Gerais state, North of Paraná state and Sumaré region (São Paulo state). The weather conditions were favorable to plant development and the expectancy is high productivity in the beginning of harvest. However, the lack of rainfall has contributed to crop pests (Thrips and Leafminer), which have already been controlled. Due to positive results in the previous season, the forecast is to keep production area as in second half of winter season 2016.
