Piracicaba, 20 – Watermelon prices increased in São Paulo state last week (December 10th to 14th), due to supply reduction in Itápolis region as year-end harvest is finishing. In the coming days, São Paulo producers expect better quotes.
Despite an increase in supply of watermelons from Rio Grande do Sul state, buyers from São Paulo still prefer fruits from Itápolis, considering high logistic costs of bringing goods from the South of Brazil.
