Piracicaba, 10th – Grape shipments are positive in 2020. According to Hortifruti/Cepea collaborators, Brazilian grapes have a good demand in Europe, with the lack of stone fruits and the healthy appeal of fruits and vegetables during the pandemic.

According to Secex data (Secretariat of Foreign Trade), exports in September/20 increased 52% in revenue and 43% in volume in comparison to the same month of 2019. Still, shipments grew significantly 667% and 570%, respectively, numbers higher than August/20.

Exchange rate and favorable demand are encouraging exports instead of national sales, and in this scenario, supply of fine grapes is reduced in the internal market.
