APPLE/CEPEA: Trade balance is more negative than usual See photos

Piracicaba, 22nd - In the partial year (January to October), Brazilian trade balance of fresh apples is negative at US$ 58 million (FOB), according to Secex. That is, the input of fruits is much higher than exports.

According to Hortifruti/Cepea collaborators, this deficit, which has been greater than usual, is due to the restricted national supply, seen at the fall of the 2021/22 crop, harvested at the beginning of the year, which brought down exports, but increased imports a lot. For the end of the year, the trend is that imports continue to grow, given the low national stock.
