Piracaba, 27th – Prices of ágata potato special type fell last week (August 17th to 21st) in wholesales. The mean value was of 87.33 BRL (-7,05%) at Ceagesp, 80.58 BRL (-7,23%) at Rio de Janeiro (Rio de Janeiro state) and 75 BRL (-10,26%) at Belo Horizonte (Minas Gerais state).  The values were pressured by potatoes leftovers in the wholesales and weak demand.

Besides, since the start of the pandemic, sales to restaurants and schools were reduced and, even with the reopening of the market, there has been no visible recovery in demand within the last days.
