Piracicaba, 23th – Last week (November 16th to 20th) agata variety quotes closed at BRL 174.04 in São Paulo (São Paulo state), at BRL 160.87 in Rio de Janeiro (Rio de Janeiro state) and at BRL 169.63 in Belo Horizonte (Minas Gerais state). For the partial month (until November 20th) prices of the washed special agata rose 48% in comparison to October. This scenario was caused by the advance of harvest in September – due to high temperatures – and the ending of winter season, which contributes to low supply. For the coming weeks, potato volume tends to increase, once the water season starts to intensify the harvest.
