POTATO/CEPEA: Prices go down with the start of winter season See photos

Piracicaba, 14 - Potatoes harvest started last week (July 03 to 07th) in Vargem Grande do Sul (São Paulo state). At the same time, other regions are harvesting, which contributes to high volume. Besides that, productivity is high in all producer regions. Brazilians wholesale markets are supplied by: South of Minas Gerais, Triângulo Mineiro, Cristalina (Goiás state), South-west, Chapada Diamantina, Paraná and Vargem Grande do Sul (São Paulo state). According to Hortifruti/Cepea collaborators, the forecast for the whole month of July is high supply and low prices.
