Piracicaba, 07th – Last week (April 27 to 30th), mango exports were more intense, and benefited prices of palmer variety in Vale do São Francisco (Pernambuco and Bahia states) for both domestic and export markets. In average, palmer was sold by BRL 1.55 per kilo (+21.6% over the week before) and tommy variety, by BRL 1.54 per kilo (+2.7% in the same comparison).

Producers expect higher prices in the next weeks, due to positive demand in the external market (mainly from Europe), even during coronavirus pandemic. Peru’s season ended, and Ivory Coast’s will not start until the middle of May.
