June issue: Costs of vegetables rise, but 2019 should be profitable

Production costs for some vegetables rose last crop, but the good news is that tomato, onion and carrot growers may all have good profit in 2019. One reason for this good scenario is that growers reduced planted area in face of low profitability in recent years. The climate in 2019 has also not been favorable to productivity, limiting the supply of vegetables and sustaining quotations.
