LETTUCE/CEPEA: Transplanting tends to grow in November See photos

Piracicaba, 09 - Summer season for lettuce starts in December. Traditionally, quotes are better due to lower productivity and higher demand in the period. According to Hortifruti/Cepea collaborators, sales of seedlings should grow as of November, however, profitability hasn’t been favorable this winter season - prices are below production cost, what makes producers even more cautious about investments. So far, sales haven’t risen as expected, but there is a possibility of recovery until the end of the month.
