Piracicaba, 6th - Exports of white seedless grapes were delayed in September, which resulted in an increase in inventories in São Francisco Valley. In this scenario, supply in the domestic market increased, reducing quotes. Shipments are already normal, but this stocked fruits can’t be exported, since they lost quality during transportation.

So, white seedless grapes (packaged) were sold by BRL 6.90/kg in São Francisco Valley last week (September 27th to October 1st) , a decrease of 12% over the week before. In the past three weeks, decrease accumulated 26.82%, or 2.53 Brazilian Reais. Stocked grapes might last at least one more week, and in this period, prices may continue smaller.
