Freeze cause few problems in vineyards at Jales See photos

On the 18th July low temperature and freeze reached some vineyards areas in Jales (SP). There was no major damage. However, according to Hortifruti/Cepea consulting, budding in some vineyards was interrupted and, as a result, yield and profitability main be reduced this season. Grape producer area in Jales has about 700 hectares, with 65% of Niagara variety. Harvest started in July and will finish in December.
