Piracicaba, 04th – Good financial results from 2020 (mainly to exporters) and the beginning of planting in Pontal district shall allow a new increase in the area of grapes in Vale do São Francisco (Pernambuco and Bahia states) with focus in BRS vitória variety, but also patented varieties to export, as arra 15.
In terms of production, growers from Vale do São Francisco are concerned about rains in the first semester of 2021, since they had problems last year in this period. In Paraná state, production may increase because cold weather did not impact budding as it was last year. In São Paulo state regions vines may have good development, since the weather is cooperating with production.
