Piracicaba, 26th – The first impressions for the 2021/22 season of orange is a small production in São Paulo state. Drought and high temperatures in the second semester of 2020 reduced the opening of blossoms and fruit settings.

This scenario, if confirmed, may ensure good prices for the fruit, since industrial demand shall continue firm, considering that ending stocks of orange juice might close in low volumes than in 2020/21.

In relation to investments in orange cultivation, it may be focused in renewal of plants and in irrigation systems, with only few new plantings.

For Tahiti lime, supply may be high in the first semester, but smaller than normal for this period, because of drought impacts in production.
