Piracicaba, 16th - Exports of banana nanica to Mercosur shall be more expressive by April, when supply will increase in north of Santa Catarina state. Although prices started to go down in domestic market, producers of banana nanica still prefer this market to export to Mercosur. So, exports were still slow in January and February of 2017, when volume was 1.9 thousand of tones to Mercosur, 83% above the same months in 2016, according to Secex. The revenue added US$ 616 thousand, a fall of 80%.
