Piracicaba, 3rd - Trade balance of apple sector was favorable until June, but from August on, it may go back to negative. Exports revenue summed up, between January and June, US$ 36.4 million, value 8.6% higher than imports in the same period (US$ 33.5 million) – Secex data. Apple exports normally lose rhythm in second semester due to harvest in North Hemisphere, where the main buyers of Brazilian apples are located. On the other hand, apple importers shall continue buying good volumes until December, even so, probably smaller than 2016.
