TOMATO/CEPEA: Winter season starts in Araguari See photos

Piracicaba, 22 – Some producers of tomato have been harvesting winter season in Araguari (Minas Gerais state) since mid-March. However, volume of tomato is still reduced until now and will increase only in April. The forecast for the season is positive due to good prices in regional markets. On the other hand, in São José de Ubá (Rio de Janeiro state) producers have just started transplanting seedlings. Planting speed is still slow and tends to intensify in April as well.
