Piracicaba, 24 – Papaya havaí variety price went up in producer regions last week (February 13th to 17th) because of small supply. In South of Bahia state, the variety was sold by R$ 0,59/kilogram, an increase of 65% in comparison to the previous week. In producer regions, golden cultivar was in smaller supply than sunrise, and because of that, golden price was higher. In wholesale Ceagesp, havaí variety was sold by R$ 15,50 per box of 8 kilogram last week, resulting in an increase of 21% in comparison to the previous week.
