Cerrado finishes onion season with good results See photos

Growers in Cerrado (including Goiás and Bahia states) finished onion harvest in November. Parto f the supply is still stored. Cerrado’s onion quality and productivity were consider better than other regions, reaching 90 tons per hectare. Prices during the season were 47 cents per kilogram of Real in average, 100% above production cost. Despite the strong fall in the second semester of this year, prices in the beggining of harvest activities brought good profitability to onion growers.
